Course Overview

This educational program is designed for individuals who are interested in reviewing best practices for endoscope care and reprocessing. Participants will be able to recognize the important processes related to infection control and proper handling of endoscopes

Purpose Statement

This formal education activity has been developed in response to GI nurses and associates who have expressed a need to enhance their knowledge of specific operational issues related to procedure management and service repairs.

  • Define repair reduction strategies and tactics for maintaining endoscopes.
  • Explain the significance of infection control and the relationship with reprocessing techniques.
  • Discuss specific GI and Surgical standards for proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilzation for instruments and devices.

Cancellation Policy

Registered participants for Olympus University courses must provide us with their cancellation notice five business days prior to the program date. “No-Show” registrations will be charged a $50.00 cancellation fee for their catering/meeting expenses. This policy includes Olympus Full/ Value-Added Service Contract customers. A course registration can be transferred within a facility at anytime.
